B2B Manufacturing Website Readiness Scorecard 2026
25 objective checks across five categories to assess whether your manufacturing or export company's website is ready for serious B2B buyers — self-assessed, no signup required.
A serious B2B buyer evaluating a manufacturer or industrial supplier rarely decides on the first visit — they check technical detail, credibility, and whether doing business across borders will be straightforward, before ever filling in a form. This scorecard gives you 25 objective yes/no checks across five categories to see where your own website actually stands, in about ten minutes, without contacting us.
How to use this scorecard
Go through each of the five sections below and answer every check honestly with yes or no — there's no partial credit, which keeps the result objective rather than a judgment call.
Count how many “yes” answers you have in each section (out of 5) and write down your five section totals, then add them together for an overall total out of 25.
The scoring guide at the end explains how to read both numbers. Treat this as a diagnostic starting point, not a certificate — see the disclaimer in the Methodology section below.
1. Export & Multilingual Readiness
0 of 5If you sell beyond your home market, your website is often a buyer's first and only impression of whether doing business with you across borders will be easy.
If most of these are unchecked, start with a single, clearly signposted language version for your largest export market before adding more.
2. Technical Product Presentation
0 of 5Technical buyers pre-qualify suppliers long before they ever speak to sales — if they can't find the details they need, they move on to a competitor who provides them.
If most of these are unchecked, publishing your existing spec sheets and certificates as searchable web pages is usually the fastest fix.
3. B2B Conversion & RFQ Readiness
0 of 5A technically convinced buyer still needs one clear, low-friction way to act — every extra click or vague form is a chance for them to leave without converting.
If most of these are unchecked, replacing a generic contact form with a proper RFQ form is usually the single highest-impact change available.
4. Trust & Credibility
0 of 5In a long B2B buying cycle with multiple stakeholders, credibility signals often decide who even gets shortlisted.
If most of these are unchecked, adding one concrete, named case study usually does more for credibility than any amount of general claims.
5. Accessibility & EU Readiness
0 of 5Accessibility is now a legal question for many B2B websites in the EU, not just a usability one — and it's worth knowing where you actually stand.
If most of these are unchecked, start with check 23 — knowing whether the law applies to you at all determines how urgent the rest of this section is.
How does the market compare? — European Accessibility Benchmark 2026
NorthPeak's European Accessibility Benchmark 2026 automatically scanned 135 B2B manufacturing and industrial company websites across the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. 99.3% had at least one automatically detectable accessibility issue — most commonly insufficient colour contrast (found on 76.3% of pages). A further 95.6% of pages were separately flagged for conditions requiring manual expert review, which are not counted among the automated findings above. Neither number means these companies are legally non-compliant — automated testing only detects a subset of WCAG success criteria and cannot itself establish WCAG or European Accessibility Act conformance.

Methodology
Scoring guide
Each section has a subtotal out of 5 — this is the primary result, since it shows exactly where a site is strong or weak, rather than hiding that behind one blended number.
The overall total (out of 25) is a secondary, rougher heuristic: 0–8 suggests foundational gaps across most areas; 9–16 suggests a developing site with real gaps remaining; 17–21 suggests a generally solid site with a few specific gaps; 22–25 suggests strength across nearly every check.
These bands describe the self-assessment result only — they are not a certification, an audit finding, or a claim about legal compliance, export readiness, or any other status. A score, high or low, does not substitute for a professional review of your specific site and market.
